A Wounded Healer’s Confession: The Journey Back to Myself

Fion Tay - Wounded Healer Confession-Founder Flow With Kindness

Sharing Fion Tay’s Journey of Healing and Wholeness.

There is a truth healers seldom speak aloud,
yet it lives quietly in the marrow of our bones:

Behind every professional… lies a person.
Behind every calm voice… lies a storm survived.
Behind every healing hand… lies a wound that once bled.

We healers are not chosen because we are flawless.
We are chosen because we remember what it feels like to break—
and because our breaking reshaped us into sanctuaries
for those who are hurting now.

We hold space not from perfection,
but from remembrance.
Not from superiority,
but from humility.
Not because we know everything,
but because we were once on our knees, learning how to breathe again.

The Phoenix Archetype — Rising Through Fire

My journey was never crafted in classrooms
nor scripted from textbooks.

It was forged in fire.

I carry the essence of the Phoenix Archetype—
the healer who rises from lived experience.

I am the soul who has:

    • died many quiet inner deaths

    • rebuilt life from the ashes of what once was

    • survived intensity sharp enough to swallow worlds

    • returned each time with deeper compassion and clearer sight

This archetype is not learned.
It is lived.
It is earned through wounds, shadows, awakening and rebirth.

I honour every healer, every path, every modality.
But mine is simply different.

I do not heal from theory—
I heal from embodiment.
I do not guide from technique—
I guide from truth.
I do not speak from textbooks—
I speak from the chapters of my own soul that life wrote for me.

This is not competition.
This is essence.

The Heart That Broke Open

My first chapter of life was built with intensity—
the kind that cracks your worldview,
shakes your foundations,
and forces you to rebuild yourself from the inside out.

My heart didn’t break once;
it shattered into countless pieces.

And I stitched it back slowly,
thread by thread,
each one dipped in effort and blood,
not to become perfect
but to return to myself.

I used to be the warrior who never fell—
armoured, fierce, unyielding,
fighting every battle as though surrender meant death.

But through the fire,
a softer truth emerged:

The most difficult battle is not with the world outside—
but with the shadows inside.

Facing yourself—
your wounds, your resentment, your expectations, your pain, your fear, your trauma—
is far more courageous than winning any war outside of you.

And loving deeply
even after being broken
is the bravest act of all.

The Truth About Healing

Healing is not linear.
It is not tidy.
It is not a straight path.

It is a spiral.
A rise and fall.
A breath in and a breath out.

There is no perfectly healed person.
No final destination.
No badge of completion.

So release the idea that someone else
must heal you with magic hands.
Healing has always belonged to you—
and only you.

So then, why do healers exist?
Not to save you.
Not to fix you.
Not to carry your soul on their back.

We exist because sometimes,
in the dark night of the soul,
you just need:

    • a companion

    • a witness

    • a reminder

    • a mirror

    • a presence

    • a safe place to collapse

    • a voice that tells you you’re not alone

We are not here to perform.
We are here to serve humanity.
To walk beside you
while you remember the strength you forgot.

Our compassion is priceless
because it was earned—not taught.
Lived—not memorized.
Felt—not instructed.

This Is My Confession

I am a wounded healer.
A Phoenix soul.
A warrior who put down her armor
and learned that true strength
comes not from protecting and fighting,
but from surrender and acceptance.

I am here on purpose,
but not for perfection.
I am here to serve,
not to impress.
I am here to guide,
not to be worshipped.
I am here to hold space,
not to fix what was never broken.

I stand here not above anyone—
but beside you.
Human to human.
Soul to soul.
Journey to journey.

If these words resonate,
if something in your heart stirs,
then perhaps your soul remembers, too:
you are also a healer in your own way.
You are also rising.
You are also finding your way home.

And you are not alone.

A Message for Seekers

For those seeking answers outside,
know this:

There is nothing to seek beyond yourself.
All truths will reveal themselves in time.
All wisdom waits patiently within.

The guidance, the clarity, the healing you long for—
it begins with your own heart.
Trust yourself.
Your own journey contains everything you need.

And as I rise, I will continue sharing my healing journey—
the parts I am no longer embarrassed to show.
Not to teach, not to impress,
but to remind you that it is safe to be real,
it is sacred to be vulnerable,
and it is possible to rise again.

You are not alone on this journey.
If your heart is stirred, if your soul longs for connection,
come and join our community of seekers, healers, and kindred spirits.
Walk beside others who rise, stumble, and rise again—
and be reminded that together, we can hold space, share courage, and nurture the light within us all.

You are the healer of your own heart, and your courage to rise becomes the fire that awakens everything you were always meant to be.

Love,
Fion
